I think this sketch would fit into the category of "river life." You use the same jacket for the whole trip, and you wear it most of your waking hours. My jacket was "Globe Mallow", a much more benign flower than the Sacred Datura. And yes, it is in the same family as the marsh mallow, the original source of the sweet treat.
